care and treatment | Clean citrine in warm, soapy water and a soft brush. Do not clean in ultrasonic jewelry cleaner as some citrine is dyed and the cleaning agents will remove citrine's color. Also do not wear citrine for long periods in bright sunlight. Citrine is often heat-treated to achieve its color so prolonged exposure to sun, over time, may affect the color. |
