Every gem and rock (as in the case of lapis lazuli) one sees in a piece of glimmerdream jewelry has a story to tell -- the jewelry is, so to speak, the end of the story (although possibly, the beginning of another...). From geological creation to mining activities to finished goods in the marketplace, a fascinating chain of events and human resources emerges.
Coupled with each gem is also a history -- sometimes as ancient as the oldest recorded cultures but other times only recently coming into view. And then there is the metaphysical -- supposed vibrational healing properties that have been associated with various gems throughout history that are undergoing a renewed vogue today.
Gem Journeys is meant to entertain as well as inform -- taking you in some directions you may not have gone before. Enjoy.
